Rainscreen Cladding

Rainscreen Cladding

Rainscreen cladding is the most efficient cladding system for construction nowadays. It Is the attachment of an outer skin (components) of ventilated cladding to primary structure of a new or existing building. It is a solution that fits perfectly into current sustainable architecture trend and provides and easy installation process. It can simply be also explained a double wall construction that uses an outer layer that breathes like a skin and an inner layer that reduces energy consumption.
Rainscreens are generally lightweight, cost effective and have an easy installation process.
Advantages of rainscreen cladding:
Avoids condensation -  Upon adequate designing and proper installation, the condensation forms within the cladding as opposed to forming within the walls. The rainscreen evaporates and removes possible water infiltration preventing damage from growth of moulds.
Thermal efficiency - The cladding helps providing shade to the structure and dissipating any heat. The cavity between inner and outer screen don’t allow heat to get transferred into the structure.
Rainscreen cladding requires almost zero to low maintenance.
It provides energy efficiency by cooling buildings during summer and better control of heating during winters.
